Genesis G80 Lemon Law

Genesis recalled G80 vehicles (part of NHTSA recall 26V229000) because the high-pressure crossover fuel-pipe fasteners can loosen, letting fuel escape and raising the risk of an engine fire. Dealers inspect and tighten the fasteners or replace the pipe if a leak is found.

G80 owners also report electrical, infotainment, and software complaints. A fuel-leak fire risk in a luxury sedan is a serious safety defect.

A recall isn't automatically a lemon. But if the repair is delayed, doesn't resolve the problem, or your G80 is out of service for an extended time, California's Lemon Law may entitle you to a buyback, replacement, or cash settlement — with Genesis paying your attorney fees.
