My Volvo’s screen keeps freezing. Is that really a lemon-law issue?
Yes — and do not let anyone tell you it is cosmetic. In a modern Volvo, the center screen controls the climate system, the defroster and the backup camera. When it goes dark, safety equipment goes with it. That is a defect that impairs use and safety, which is the statutory test.
Do software updates count as repair attempts?
They do. If Volvo applies a software fix for your defect and the defect comes back, that is a failed repair attempt — and it belongs in your file. Keep every service record, including remote updates.
How long do I have to file a Volvo claim in California?

My EX90 has had constant software problems since delivery. What are my options?
